R+D+I Project Manager

What do we expect from you?

  • You are responsible for directing and controlling the overall execution of the research project from launch through customer delivery to meet the established targets for scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
  • Define the scope of the project and document project requirements.
  • Search, negotiation, management and coordination of industrial and technological suppliers: Private companies, Technology centers, Universities, etc.
  • Determine resource requirements and coordinate with internal departments and/or external suppliers to establish the project schedule, assignments, and budget.
  • Management of tax deductions and bonifications for R+D+i projects, such as public funding, both national and international (CDTI, MINECO, HORIZONTE 2020, EIT, Innovate UK, etc.).
  • Monitor and govern the activities throughout the project design process. Direct the processes through project data collection, analysis, and delivery.
  • Monitor the established Key Performance Indicators to determine project health.
  • Ensure that schedules are updated on a regular basis and after major changes.
  • Assess project viability when changes introduce risks to scope, quality, schedule, or cost targets.
  • Develop corrective action plans to manage risks and drive stakeholder agreement on project changes and/or countermeasures required.
  • Maintain the project financial forecast in accordance with project requirements.
  • Oversee internal project team members to ensure that the project has a realistic, achievable schedule.
  • Provide regular updates on project and portfolio progress to the Executive Team, including understanding the reasons for change, assessment of risks, identification of opportunities, etc.

What skills do you have?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineer or Agronomic Engineer
  • Minimum of 5 years R&D related experience.
  • Experience in managing large projects, including definition phase, viability phase and execution phase.
  • Participation in the identification of R+D+i proposals and initiatives for national and European subsidized projects will be valued.
  • Experience in working in a supplier/customer relationship management (daily activity and performance).
  • Experience and training in agile and scrum metodologies will be valued.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Strong documentation, organization and time management skills.
  • Can-do attitude who will roll up sleeves and do what needs doing.
